Who Is Tab Trade - Launched March 2026, Here Is the Deal

TabTrade — The Short Version

TabTrade.com went live in Q1 2026. Online broker incorporated in Saint Lucia, regulated by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, the New Zealand-regulated broker.

That last detail is relevant. It says the person running this is not figuring it out from scratch. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. But preferable to a founder with no industry background.

TabTrade came out of the gate with execution through Equinix servers. Same infrastructure institutional desks use. Usually a new brokerage leads with marketing and bonuses. These guys went the other way. Not the typical playbook.

What you can trade: forex, stock indices, gold, silver, commodities, equities, crypto, ETFs. 1,000+. For something this new, that range is broad.

Platforms

You get: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and a WebTrader. Both platforms from the same login. Many commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Access to both is useful. You are not locked into one.

MetaTrader 5 is the default. Complete charts, automated trading, huge user base. If you have used MetaTrader previously, it is familiar territory.

cTrader by Spotware is the more modern one. Better depth of market. Smoother chart interaction. Built-in algo trading. Many people like it better than MT5 once they try it.

FIX API is available for automated strategies but is only on the VIP tier ($25k minimum). TradingView is reportedly in the works. That will make the platform set when it arrives.

What You Pay

Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard account. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. Zero commission. Straightforward. $0 to start. Suits people who want simple pricing.

Edge. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 per side. What you actually pay: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On liquid pairs, the actual interbank spread is often a fraction of a pip. So your all-in cost sometimes sits below 0.5 pips. That is good for a broker with $0 to start. Most brokers that have spreads this tight want $500 or more to open. Tab Trade does not.

VIP account. $25,000 deposit required. FIX API, execution under 20ms, custom pricing. Not something typical accounts. Ignore this one unless you trade institutionally.

Execution Speed

The execution is the thing TabTrade stands apart. Equinix data centres. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. These are institutional numbers. The average platform quote 100ms to 300ms.

Does this affect you? If you trade small timeframes, it does. The gap between fast execution and sluggish execution is the difference between. If you swing trade, it matters less. What matters is they invested in proper execution. That signals something about priorities.

Combine that execution speed with the Edge account pricing and what you get makes sense. Not many platforms in this bracket run Equinix connectivity.

The FSRA Question

Now, the part you need to be straight about. TabTrade is regulated by Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is offshore. No FCA. No investor compensation scheme. If that is a problem for you, look elsewhere. Lots of tier-1 alternatives out there.

However. The person running it came from BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The execution setup is expensive. Dodgy operations do not pay for proper execution infrastructure. This does not replace tier-1 regulation. It does inform your assessment.

What you are accepting: no FCA or ASIC safety net. For that: high leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, no minimum deposit, fast fills. Whether the trade-off is worth it is your call.

Welcome Offer

TabTrade runs bonus funds of up to $2,000. Usual welcome offer. You fund your account, TabTrade credit extra capital. Usual conditions attached: minimum lots traded before you can withdraw the bonus. Read the conditions before funding.
